Inter Seal Deal for Wingback, Defy Juventus for Another

Inter have reached agreement with Cagliari to sign Raoul Bellanova. The Nerazzurri were not the first Serie A team to track him. However, they acted swiftly once Ivan Perisic departed. After inquiring about Destiny Udogie and Andrea Cambiaso too, they furthered the negotiation for the Milan youth product.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the 22-year-old will join on an initial loan for a €3M fee and with a €7M option to buy in 2023. Matteo Darmian will switch to the left flank following the addition, joining Robin Gosens. Instead, the newcomer will alternate with Denzel Dumfries, should he stay.

Inter might stop at Bellanova as far as young wing-backs are concerned. Although, they are in talks with Genoa for Andrea Cambiaso. They are the frontrunners, but the negotiation is not in its final stages. His agent will meet Juventus in the next few days, TuttoSport informs. As per Corriere dello Sport, the Grifone defender is open to joining Bologna on loan after securing a move to a top team.

Our Take on Inter Signing Bellanova

It is a sound acquisition as the youngster displayed plenty of potential and, if the Nerazzurri kept Dumfries, he would have time to adjust to being in an elite team and develop. He showed well enough to be at least an energetic backup. It is interesting that La Beneamata moved forward once gathering intel on Udogie. The Udinese starlet has a higher ceiling, but he is also more expensive and will likely to stay put.
