Inter Set Sights on Trio of Young Italian Wing-Backs

Inter have held meetings for three flank specialists in the last couple of weeks in Udinese’s Destiny Udogie, Genoa’s Andrea Cambiaso, and Cagliari’s Raoul Bellanova. The former Bordeaux loanee appears to be the closest to joining at the moment, Sky informs.

Stefano Antonelli and Ferdinando Guarino, the agents of the Friulani defender, talked to La Gazzetta dello Sport after visiting the Nerazzurri’s HQ yesterday.

“It was a pleasant first summit. We will probably pick up the topic again in the future.”

Director Pierpaolo Marino recently suggested that the 19-year-old would likely stay having spent just one season with them. Instead, they are more likely to sell Nahuel Molina. He is drawing interest from Juventus and Atletico Madrid, TuttoSport relays.

As per Tuttomercatoweb, Inter will acquire just one between Udogie, Bellanova and Cambiaso. The Udinese starlet is top of their list. However, he is also the most expensive as he carries a €20M price tag. The other two could join for less than €10M, maybe with the help of partial swaps.

The Nerazzurri lost Ivan Perisic on the left flank, who picked Tottenham. But they had already purchased Robin Gosens in January. Instead, they would go after more established players if they decided to make a profit on Denzel Dumfries, the publication adds. The Dutchman has some suitors, especially Manchester United, Goal informs.

Our Take on Inter Eyeing Udogie, Bellanova, and Cambiaso

The three youngsters had an impressive maiden season in Serie A, with the first one shining the brightest. Considering their offensive prowess, they make more sense for a team using a 3-5-2 rather than a four-man defense like Juventus. The Nerazzurri seem to be keener on the Sardinians’ youngster, but the Genoa one would probably be a better fit considering he is left-footed.
