Inter Set to Rekindle Interest in French Forward Thuram

As desperate times calls for desperate measures, Inter are prepared to rekindle their interest in the the Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram.

Prior to the start of this year’s Serie A campaign, the Nerazzurri were set to submit a 25M transfer offer for the 24 year-old French international. However, the young attacker ruptured the medial ligament within his right knee and was held at bay for two months, causing the deal to collapse.

With La Benemata’s strike force currently undergoing a grave and disappointing goal drought, the club officials were prepared to inquire about the young starlets Gianluca Scamacca and Jonathan David.

However, according to Calciomercato, the Nerazzurri have decided to reignite their interest in the 24 year-old attacker due to the fact that he is the relatively cheaper alternative within the front-line of attack.

So far this season, Thuram has not been able to find consistency within his form as he only scored one goal in 18 appearances for the Bundesliga giants throughout this year’s campaign.

With the combination of his contract expiring at the end of the 2022-23 campaign and his lackluster form, the club officials can believe they can snatch Thuram and lure him to the San Siro next summer for a fee around the region of 20M.

With Inter potentially offloading Alexis Sanchez at the end of the season, the board strongly believes that the 24 year-old winger can play a pivotal role in filling the void within the Nerazzurri attack.
