With Andre Onana’s latest development – that included his comments on close relations with Barcelona – Inter are now being linked to another goalkeeper, as Samir Handanovic’s direct replacement.
The Slovenian veteran is set to leave the Nerazzurri at the end of the current season, when his contract expires in June 2022, although he still possesses the option to extend his stay by one year.
According to La Repubblica, Inter are considering a swoop for Fiorentina shotstopper Bartlomiej Dragowski, incase Onana doesn’t end up moving to the Giuseppe Meazza.
He has a transfermarkt value of €16m and the Florence natives will embrace anything in the range of €20-25m as transfer fees. The 24-year-old Polish goalkeeper has been with La Viola since 2016, sandwiching a short spell at Empoli in 2018/19, before retuning back to Florence.
Dragowski has been long marred with fitness concerns that has affected his game time, appearing just five times this season for Fiorentina.
His transfer could rather be straightforward to execute by Inter, but the links with Onana are too strong to deny. The Nerazzurri already have conducted advanced negotiations for him, in spite of his recent comments linking with Barcelona.
Contrasting reports have emerged (via L’Interista) regarding the Cameroonian goalkeeper stance on his next club. Inter have long been interested in his services and according to the report, his move is all but settled and needs only to be ratified by the Italian giants.
