Inter Shortlist Three Contenders to Replace Dumfries

In stark contrast to how things are currently panning out for Robin Gosens on the left wing for Inter, his opposite end is not faring as well. Denzel Dumfries has had a mixed campaign at the Meazza, birthing fears of a potential exit at the end of the season for the Dutchman. There have been links with Premier League suitors for the right wingback, who could leave the Nerazzurri after just two seasons.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport (via FCInterNews), the Inter management has already shortlisted three names that could replace Dumfries on the right wing, despite his contract only expiring in the summer of 2025.

The primary contender is Club Brugge’s Canadian defender Tajon Buchanan, who has been scouted by Inter officials throughout the current season. Reportedly, the evaluations by sporting director Piero Ausilio and deputy Dario Baccin have been ‘super positive,’ especially after following Buchanan’s World Cup performances.

The other two are Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot and Spezia’s Emil Holm.

Inter demand at least €50M for Dumfries – a price Premier League teams might be willing to spend once the summer transfer window reopens. The Dutchman’s deputy Raoul Bellanova, who is on loan from Cagliari, hasn’t exactly shone as expected, prompting Inter to look elsewhere for reinforcements.
