Inter Shortlist Udinese Midfielder for Free Transfer Next Summer

With several Inter players close to seeing out expiring contracts come next summer, the club are busy shortlisting reinforcements in the upcoming transfer windows. Three midfielders, out of the 28-man squad, are fast approaching their deadline day at the Nerazzurri.

Keeping that in mind, Inter have shortlisted a potential free agent from Udinese to succeed Roberto Gagliardini in the center midfield position. According to Il Giorno (via FCInter1908), Udinese midfielder Roberto Pereyra is one of the first names to appear on the Nerazzurri shortlists.

Pereyra is set to leave the Friulani as a free agent following what seems to be failed negotiations despite the club making their intentions known to keep him. Inter are keeping close tabs on how talks materialize between the two parties.

In the event that they fail to jot down an extension, Inter will be ready to pounce on the former Juventus and Watford man. 31-year-old Pereyra joined Udinese from Watford two years ago. He has 1 goals and 7 assists in 17 appearances for Udinese this season.
