Veteran forward Edin Dzeko is one of those names regularly touted to exit the Nerazzurri ranks as the club hacks down its large 33-man squad, and Juventus are eyeing him. The ex-Manchester City man joined Inter for a paltry sum of €1.5M from Roma last summer and has since impressed, despite his age catching up.

He is under contract at the Vialle della Liberazione until June 2023. With Inter making strong moves in the transfer market, his future remains in the balance, especially after the re-signing of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea and the ongoing saga involving Paulo Dybala.

Latest reports from SportItalia pundit Alfredo Pedullà indicate that Derby d’Italia rivals Juventus made a contractual offer to Dzeko. It was reportedly rejected outright, as he is determined to stay put in the black and blue divide of Milan despite falling down Simone Inzaghi’s pecking order.

The Bianconeri tendered a formal big to sign him less than two days ago, perhaps for around the same amount Inter offered Roma. It is no secret that Juventus coach Max Allegri appreciates the former Wolfsburg man’s abilities upfront. The Old Lady is looking for a veteran to back up Dusan Vlahovic. However, despite multiple attempts over the years, it seems like Dzeko will not join Juventus.
