Inter Take an Interest in Two Talented Serie A Forwards

Inter have opened their search for a new striker and earmarked two versatile specialists, Albert Gudmundsson and Giacomo Raspadori. They have started to look for somebody with different traits compared to Mehdi Taremi, Corriere dello Sport informs.

On the other hand, both are expensive. Genoa want at least €30M for the Icelandic playmaker, while the evaluation of the Napoli forward is closer to €40M. In addition, Aurelio De Laurentiis rarely sells players to direct rivals, and the Piotr Zielinski affair doesn’t help the Nerazzurri’s chances.

Inter will test the waters with the camps of Raspadori and Gudmundsson to gauge their level of interest before eventually opening talks with their respective teams. They’d try to arrange initial loans with obligations to buy.

La Beneamata will likely need to raise funds to pull off one coup. The most likely candidate to depart remains Denzel Dumfries. The recent re-opening of his contract talks hasn’t led to an agreement at this stage. His deal is up in 2025.

Our Take on Inter, Gudmundsson, and Raspadori

They are basically searching for a younger and sprier version of Alexis Sanchez, who has been hit-or-miss. Selling somebody without opening up holes that need to be filled with another investment will be complicated. Dumfries’ valuation isn’t high enough to bankroll two pricey acquisitions. There’s almost zero chance Napoli will do business with them, while the Genoa star, who’s ready for the jump, is a more attainable target.
