Inter Tipped to Chase After Touted Barcelona Wantaway

Vitor Roque has been clamoring for more playing time and is ready to depart Barcelona in the summer, at least temporarily, and Inter could be interested in taking him in on loan. The talent hasn’t played much in Catalunya and could ask out following Xavi’s confirmation on their bench, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

The Nerazzurri scouted the prodigy a few times since they have been keeping tabs on his former Athletic Paranaense teammate Bento, who’s their top target for the goal. However, the Blaugrana easily bested the competition to sign him, paying €40M plus sizeable add-ons. Despite that, he has featured just 13 times for a total of 310 minutes with them.

Inter see Vitor Roque as an alternative to Albert Gudmundsson. The two deals would be very different. They hold the Genoa star in high regard, but it could be challenging for them to match his €30M price tag. In addition, other sides are advancing in such a chase.

The 19-year-old transferred to Spain in January after two seasons with Athletic Paranaense where he posted 28 goals and 11 assists. He debuted with Brazil in March. He has scored twice in La Liga.

Our Take on Inter and Vitor Roque

He’d have the traits they are looking for, and his agent has been very vocal about his dissatisfaction as of late. On the other hand, signing a promising player on loan with little chance of retaining him permanently isn’t the most alluring proposition.
