Inter Tipped to Eye Dybala if Al-Qadsiah Move Collapses

Paulo Dybala hasn’t decided whether to take Al-Qadsiah’s offer and, while unlikely to sign him, Inter are keeping tabs on the situation to potentially swoop in at the last second. La Joya is conferring with his wife and his mother, who reached him in Italy. The transfer to Saudi Arabia would be a big change for the whole family, Corriere della Sera points out (via OneFootball).

The striker would rather stay in Europe or go to a team that plays in the Champions League if he were to leave the Giallorossi. His transfer to San Siro is far from easy, as the cost of the operation is significant.

Inter tracked Dybala more than a few times in the past. However, their new ownership is stricter in some aspects. They have set a €5M cap on the yearly salaries of the newcomers. Moreover, his camp demands significant commissions. Roma surely wouldn’t give him away for nothing.

The forward is uncertain about Al-Qadsiah also because he’d risk losing a spot in Argentina once and for all. He already missed out on the recent Copa America. Per Gianluca di Marzio, no other team, including the Nerazzurri, has moved concretely to sign him.

If he bolted, the Giallorossi wouldn’t sign a direct replacement since they already acquired Matias Soulé. Instead, they’d focus their efforts on a left winger, and they are advancing for Jeremie Boga, a quality box-to-box midfielder, and a few defenders. Inter will add to their attack, probably not Dybala, only if they find a new home for Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa.
