Inter To Give Up One Star Defender To Sign Bremer

Inter are reportedly ready to sacrifice one of their starting XI holders to make room for Torino’s Gleison Bremer in the summer. According to TUTTOmercatoWEB, the Nerazzurri are desperate to sign one of the best Serie A defenders.

Bremer has established himself as a household centre-back during his four-year spell at Torino, earning a host of high-profile enquiries along the way. In addition to Inter, Juventus and Milan are also in the race to secure the Brazilian’s signature, with some elite foreign clubs lurking in the shadows.

Inter are in the market for a new defender, while Bremer looks ready to take his career to the next level. However, well aware of growing interest in their jewel’s services, Torino are looking to make a substantial profit on their prized asset’s departure.

Given Inter’s financial turmoil, the reigning Serie A champions have to offload some fringe players to raise funds for the upcoming transfer window. But it may also require the Nerazzurri to cash in on one of their three defensive stalwarts in order to land Bremer.

One between Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni could make way for the 25-year-old. While the Italian has recently signed a long-term contract extension, the other two have less than two years left to run on their respective deals.

Since Bastoni has already grown into an indispensable first-team star, Inter could aim to sell either Skriniar or De Vrij. Both players have attracted interest from the Premier League.

While the Slovakian turned down the prospect of joining Tottenham Hotspur in January, the Dutchman said no Newcastle United. Yet, one of them could be heading to England’s top-flight in the summer.
