Inter Track Manchester United and RB Salzburg Defenders

Inter are seeking cost-effective deals and have Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Oumar Solet on their radar to reinforce the right wing and their rearguard. Both wouldn’t be too pricey since their contracts with Manchester United and RB Salzburg expire in 2025, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

The Nerazzurri are preparing for Denzel Dumfries’ departure. The extension talks with him are stalling. They eyed the 26-year-old in the past. He hasn’t had a great season, tallying 3 assists in 21 appearances. He has starred for a total of 1572 minutes.

Inter believe Wan-Bissaka and Solet have €10/15M price tags. They will take the negotiation with the Dutchman down to the wire. Without an agreement, they’ll look to sell him for about €30M, financing a pair of purchases. The Premier League is the most likely destination. Simone Inzaghi sees Tajon Buchanan as a better fit for the left wing.

The French defender has been linked to a Serie A a few times but has never been too close to joining. It could happen this summer considering his short-term deal. He has collected 101 appearances, 4 goals, and 5 assists with his current club.

Our Take on Inter, Wan-Bissaka and Solet

The potential additions in the two roles are intertwined. If they found somebody they really liked at an affordable price in one, they probably would stand pat in the other given Matteo Darmian and Carlos Augusto’s versatility. The new center-back should eventually be a lefty.
