Despite receiving inquiries from the Premier League and Bundesliga, reigning Scudetto holders Inter have deemed Yann Bisseck unsellable. According to Gazzetta dello Sport’s recent report, the Serie A giants have dismissed all offers for their in-demand young gun as Simone Inzaghi sees him as a valuable component of his defensive set-up.
Inter parted with €7 million to sign the 23-year-old from Danish outfit Aarhus last summer. Since he was an unknown entity, the club’s decision to bring Bisseck from Denmark looked like a gamble, but it paid off. In his first season at Giuseppe Meazza, the young defender made 16 appearances in Serie A, even scoring two goals.
After helping the Nerazzuri lift their second league title in four years, Bisseck has earned Inzaghi’s trust. With Francesco Acerbi in the autumn of his playing career and Inter struggling to find a suitable alternative in the market, Bisseck’s first-team opportunities in 2024/25 seem destined to increase.
Therefore, Inter are not ready to discuss his sale even though several unnamed Premier League and Bundesliga clubs have approached them for Bisseck. It’s believed they’ve presented the Italian powerhouse with tangible offers in the region of €10-12 million. But Beppe Marotta won’t negotiate the youngster’s exit.
Bisseck will likely start the new season as Benjamin Pavard’s deputy. Given the Frenchman’s notorious proneness to injuries, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the German center-back becomes a first-team regular for Inter in the upcoming campaign.
In the meantime, Inzaghi is reportedly trying to convince Inter chiefs to sign ex-Torino captain Ricardo Rodriguez.
