Inter Wishful for Neapolitan Legend

The Nerazzurri are still coming to terms with the fact that they have lost their star striker in Romelu Lukaku. They have long list of potential transfers to make – thanks to the influx of funds from the Belgian’s transfer to Chelsea.

According to reports from Italy and from Gianluca Di Marzio in particular, Inter are ‘seriously’ considering to lure in Napoli star forward Lorenzo Insigne, who runs out of contract at Naples soon – in June 2022. The Partenopei legend could be heading out of the club after spending virtually his whole life there.

30-year-old Insigne has long been linked with a doubted future amid contract renewal talks. He has a transfermarkt value of €48m but Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis could let him go for as low as €30m rather than see him leave next season as a free agent.

Talks between him and Napoli are said to be ongoing but Inter are already plotting a move to get him to Milan.

Tottenham and Barcelona are the other clubs being linked to him.
