Inter Without Several Strikers Ahead of Tilt With Sassuolo

Inter heads into their weekend clash at Sassuolo without several strikers available. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, both Romelu Lukaku and Joaquin Correa will not be in the matchday squad. That leaves Simone Inzaghi with just three strikers in the team for the match.

The same source also claims that Inzaghi could call up one of their Primavera players for the game. He still has two senior players in Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez, as well as youngster Valentin Carboni. Keeping in mind that Inter plays a 3-5-2 formation, an extra striker on the bench will be necessary for the Nerazzurri.

Inter goes into the match off the back of an important victory in the Champions League against Barcelona. They will have a different challenge in Sassuolo though. I Neroverdi are known to be Inter’s bogey team, having beaten them on several occasions over the years. They also come off a 5-0 thumping of Salernitana last weekend.
