Inzaghi Complimentary of Inter, Expects “Challenging Game” vs Atalanta

Simone Inzaghi did not hold a presser today, but he spoke to Inter TV to discuss the clash with Atalanta: “The win over Fiorentina was important. We did not lose focus despite having problems in the first half an hour. The reaction was great, worthy of a big team. We won on a difficult pitch and have an equally challenging game on tap tomorrow.”

On rotating the squad: “We will have an important training session today. I will assess the general conditions of the team, and then I will select the lineup.”

Inzaghi dished on the opponents. “Atalanta are a great team. They do not make any gifts, and we will have to be capable of doing the same. The hunger and the fierceness will make a major difference.”

Inter have bagged 18 goals with 11 different scorers: “I am glad for that as I try to involve everybody. I am lucky because I have fantastic players at my disposal who are always ready to contribute. The regulars are less and less set in stone given the five subs nowadays, and everybody has chipped in.”

Inzaghi mused on the Inter frontline: “We try to prepare different solutions. Fortunately, I took over a very well-trained team, and they responded nicely to me. We try to give them ideas in order to evolve further.”

Inter will face Dynamo Kyiv Tuesday: “It is not the time to look ahead; we are all focused on Atalanta. It is tough to have a long-term focus when you play every two days.”
