Inzaghi Previews Coppa Italia Quarter-Final Against Roma

Simone Inzaghi addressed the upcoming Coppa Italia clash against Roma: “This competition is a very important objective for us. Winning is part of Inter’s DNA. We reached the Round of 8, so it will be a critical match. Overcoming this obstacle, which will not be easy, will bring us closer to our goal.”

The gaffer spoke highly of the Giallorossi in his remarks to SportMediaset: “We will face a strong team that can beat anybody at any time. They have several quality players and a great coach like José Mourinho. We will need to put our eagerness to bounce back to good use. The loss in the Derby was undeserved, but these things happen in football. The opponents will not be happy either considering their unfair tie with Genoa.”

Inzaghi rallied the fans ahead of the Roma fixture: “Their support is always palpable. It will be a midweek game tomorrow, but we know they will make their presence felt and that they will try to carry us as they have done since the start of the season. We hope to gift them the qualification to the next round.”

The coach anticipates some lineup changes: “I have the luck of having a complete roster at my disposal. Every player has shown to be ready to contribute, whether for 90 minutes or just 15. We are coming off a bad loss, so we will have to be capable and rational in using it as a lesson. At the same time, we have to keep in mind the good things we have achieved so far. We have to forge ahead on the same path we have been for the past six months.”
