Rising goalkeeping talent Matteo Rizzo, who currently plays for Piedmont-based Pro Vercelli in Serie C, is in the crosshairs of two Italian heavyweights. Despite being just 17, he was promoted to the first team last season and enjoyed quite an impressive stint, appearing in 18 matches and keeping 9 clean sheets in the process.
The latest reports by Tuttomercatoweb indicate Juventus as potential suitors for the young shot-stopper, who is bound to star for a bigger club sometime soon. However, the class of 2004 is also being closely followed by Fiorentina, which have a reputation of grooming world-class talent.
Rizzo was promoted in January 2022 from Pro Vercelli U19 to the first team, and he went on to impress thereafter. His performances last season have garnered uncompromised attention from interested Italian clubs. He is yet to sign a senior professional contract, and his first one yet may arrive with either the Bianconeri or La Viola.
