Italian Heavyweights Tag Serie B Sensation at Parma for Summer Move

Italian top dogs have been altered by the presence of a certain Spanish midfielder who graduated from FC Barcelona’s famed La Masia youth academy and currently stars in Serie B for Parma. Class of 2000, Adrian Bernabe is making waves in the second tier with his consistent performances in midfield.

As a versatile player, Bernabe has earned praise for featuring in a variety of roles, including as a surgical player on the left flank, where he can operate either in the winger or full-back role.

As a naturally left-footed player, Bernabe has been lauded for his dribbling skills, composure, game intelligence and creativity in the final-third. These characteristics have garnered the attention of Milan, Juventus and Atalanta, according to reports from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

He starred with Manchester City’s U23 squad before being released by the English side at the end of the 2020/21 season. With a contract at Parma until 2024, the Emilia-Romagna natives will seek to cash in handsomely on their star talent, despite him having a transfermarkt value of just €1.8m.

Milan are already planning to shell around €10m for the Spaniard who has 5 goals in 13 appearances for Parma this season.

Bernabe has not witnessed a seamless growth curve, having recently undergone a heart surgery at the tender age of 20 due to a cardiac anomaly.
