Italy Return Imminent for Spurs Manager Antonio Conte

Antonio Conte is set to leave Tottenham Hotspur, perhaps before the end of the season, following his remarks against the club management and the players. The former Italy manager has long expressed his desire to return to his homeland, and it might not be long before he leads the dugout of one of Serie A’s top clubs.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), four top Italian heavyweights – Milan, Inter, Juventus, and Roma – are all in the running for Conte’s services. It is no surprise of the Serie A clubs wanting one of the league’s most decorated personalities back in the picture, but Conte’s stance is still unknown.

Spurs are currently preparing a strategy to adopt a severance pay, which would mean a bitter end to Conte’s reign in North London. However, that is not bound to affect the Italian tactician in the least due to his preference to return despite knowing he would bag relatively less than what he earns in the Premier League.

The ex-Chelsea and Atalanta manager joined Tottenham in November 2021 after seeing out a successful spell at Inter, where he led them to the Scudetto in 2020/21.
