Juric Dishes on Belotti Homecoming Ahead of Roma Clash

Andrea Belotti will be returning to Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino for the first time since his departure to Roma as the Granata prepare to welcome the Giallorossi in a crucial home encounter on Saturday evening. Coach Ivan Juric believes the forward could have left on better terms with the fans despite not infuriating them.

Speaking to the press in his pre-match interview, Juric dished on his relationship with Belotti during their time together in Turin (via Calciomercato)

“I had an excellent relationship with him, and I was sorry for the way he left. He could have parted ways a little better but he’s a great guy. Sometimes the relationship he had with the club and the got confused, but I know how much respect he had for them. He’s good-natured. Belotti is a top player: this is the feeling I had last year. But maybe he didn’t have the same consistency he had when he scored more than 20 goals in the league.”

Belotti moved to Roma on a free transfer after seven seasons in the Granata colors, where he etched himself as a fan favorite with 113 goals in 251 appearances.
