Ivan Perisic Rumored to Have Decided His Inter Future

The contract of Ivan Perisic expires in June, but he has never been mentioned among the Inter players in line to get an extension. The winger is most likely to be on his way out at the end of the season. He has communicated to the management that he does not plan to negotiate a new deal, Tuttosport reports.

On the other hand, it is unclear what his next destination could be. The publication suggests that Tottenham is now a solid option. Perisic was on the chopping block in 2019. However, he adapted well to his new role as a left wing-back and won over Antonio Conte. He has continued to fare well under Simone Inzaghi.

The Croatian international felt very comfortable during his time in Bundesliga with Bayern Munich. However, his dream would be to play in the Premier League. He currently makes €5M per year. He would have to take a pay cut if he changed his mind and decided to stay at Inter. Hajduk Split’s director Mindaugas Nikolicius recently stated that they would be highly interested in welcoming him back.

On top of adding another player, the Nerazzurri could hand over the role to Federico Dimarco, who has stood out thus far. However, the Italian fullback is under contract only until 2023, and the early negotiation has not gone well. His entourage requested a significantly higher salary compared to the offer of the club. Inter could resume pursuing Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic should Perisic leave, the newspaper added.
