With rumours circulating about Italian international Jorginho’s future at Chelsea, the central midifelder’s agent shuts down the transfer speculation regarding Milan.
As it stands, the 30 year-old’s contract with the London Blues is set to run out this upcoming summer, allowing the play-maker to depart on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Since arriving from Napoli in the summer of 2018, Jorginho has played a pivotal role within the central area of the pitch, making scoring 21 goals in 136 appearances across all competitions and helping the Premier League giants clinch an Europa Leaugue, Champions League, and a Club World Cup.
As a result of his high-quality performances over the past several seasons, speculation began to spread that Milan and Barcelona were both keen on signing the Italian maestro from the Stamford Bridge.
However in a recent interview, via MilanNews, Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos explained that his client’s main focus is to extend his stay with Chelsea:
“I have never met Mateu Alemany. Our priority is the renewal with Chelsea and the only club with I have spoken to in recent weeks is Chelsea.”
