Jose Mourinho Delivers Major Update Amid Uncertain Roma Future

Roma manager Jose Mourinho has dropped a massive hint on his next job amid an uncertain future at the Stadio Olimpico. The famous Portuguese tactician has admitted he could follow in the footsteps of his countryman, Cristiano Ronaldo, and continue his career in Saudi Arabia.

In an interview with MBC Egypt TV channel, Mourinho, who led Roma to their first piece of continental silverware in 2021/22, opened up on the prospect of embracing the riches of the Saudi Pro League.

I will go to Saudi Arabia in some free time, but I am convinced I will work there. I don’t know when, but I am pretty sure of it,” the Roma boss said, as relayed by RTE.

I am committed to my work with Roma and I want to give everything to the club until the last day,” Mourinho concluded.

The 60-year-old’s future has become one of the hottest topics in Serie A after Roma only won once across the opening seven rounds. However, Mourinho has alleviated some of the pressure with back-to-back wins over Frosinone and Servette.

Roma cannot afford to get too comfortable despite their mini-revival. Coming into their Sunday clash against CagliariGiallorossi languish in the bottom half of the standings. It’s still early in the season, so a six-point deficit on fourth-placed Juventus looks reducible.

With Romelu Lukaku making strides in the capital, Roma can proceed with cautious optimism. Taking three points at Unipol Domus on the stroke of the international break would be massive.
