Jose Mourinho is reportedly eyeing a shock transfer for one of his ex-midfielders, from Tottenham. Roma have long been linked to a central midfielder throughout the recently concluded summer transfer window and now continue their pursuit in search of one.
According to reports from Calciomercato, a new name has emerged. Tanguy Ndombele, who has fallen down the pecking order under Antonio Conte, is being touted for a loan move to the Italian capital.

Roma will pursue an initial loan deal with the option to buy. He possesses a transfermarkt value of €38m and any offer in the range of €30-40m will interest the books of Tottenham, as he still has three more years on his North London contract.
Roma have pursued moves for Granit Xhaka, Denis Zakaria, Boubakar Kamara and Florian Grillitsch so far, but have been unsuccessful in securing their services. However, the latter two are still realistic targets for the Giallorossi.
The versatile ex-Lyon midfielder moved to Tottenham for €62m in 2019.
