Juan Musso Open to Inter or Roma Move Amid Insistent Buzz

While Juan Musso has been linked to Inter for a couple of years as potential heir of Samir Handanovic, Sportitalia reported that Roma surpassed them in the race as they reached an agreement in principle with Udinese to acquire him in the summer after Sunday’s match. The Giallorossi are looking for a new starter as Pau Lopez has been unconvincing thus far and Antonio Mirante is on an expiring contract.

The Argentinian international discussed his future in an interview with Olé, where he was asked if he was frustrated for the fact that Nerazzurri did not sign him last summer despite the rumors: “Absolutely not. I would have liked that, it provided an extra motivation because it meant that I am doing well. I knew their goalkeeper still had two years left on his deal, so it was not the right time to make an investment in that role. I have heard about Roma too, but this buzz only affects me in positive fashion.”

“I want to play for a side that is a constant title contender and regularly plays in Champions League. These are my aspirations, you need to set some goals for yourself in order to carry on, but I am not anxious about it. I will make the jump at the right time.”

He concluded: “This is the best moment of my career, I feel stronger every day as I continue to learn the position and Serie A. I am much more mature now, even though I will never feel complete. It would be a mistake to think that there is no room for improvement, but I am very self-confident.”
