Juve Target Reveals Milan Role Models: “I Liked Sheva, Ibra and Kaká”

It is no secret that Juventus are monitoring the progress of Georgiy Sudakov, with the club sending scouts on more than one occasion to witness the Ukrainian talent. Cristiano Giuntoli had reportedly already shortlisted Sudakov back when he was at Napoli, and the youngster has now commented on the links with Juventus.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato), Sudakov addressed the interest shown in him by top clubs.

“Do Juventus follow me? Yes, I know, and I’m pleased. But the clubs choose their players, not me. As a child, I liked seeing Sheva, Ibra and Kaká. They had talent, imagination and personality. Now I watch AC Milan and Inter matches in Europe, and also Juve, Roma, and Napoli. The strongest ones always appeal to me. They’re clubs that play well, are interesting and attractive, and like to have the ball.”

Ukraine will face the Azzurri in the final matchday of the UEFA European Championships qualifiers on Tuesday, and Sudakov’s side will be looking to avenge the 2-1 defeat earlier in September.

“I like Italy’s midfielders: Nicolò Barella, Manuel Locatelli and Nicolò Zaniolo. Italy is very strong, they are reigning European champions, and I have great respect. But we will fight to win and do our best.”
