Juventus Transfer Target Prefers move to Real Madrid or Barcelona

Juventus are known to be keen admirers of Lyon’s Houssem Aouar, and even the French club’s president Jean Michel Aulas has stated in the past that he’d love to sell his star player to the Old Lady. But for one reason or another, Fabio Paratici and company have struggled to come up with a serious assault on the creative midfielder, and apparently, things are about to get even more complicated for the Italian champions.

According to ESPN via Calciomercato , the French Algerian is awaiting a call from Barcelona or Real Madrid, as the two Spanish giants seem to be his most desired destinations.

On the other hand, Aouar would also consider Juventus and Paris Saint Germain, perhaps as his two backup plans.

The 22-year-old is a youth product of Lyon, but his relationship with the club has recently deteriorated after few incidents between him and Rudi Garcia’s coaching staff, and therefore an exit at the end of the season would make sense for all parties involved.

This season, the playmaker has contributed in three goals and three assists so far in 16 Ligue 1 appearances, and is currently valued at around 50 million euros.

The French international was also a part of the Lyon squad which eliminated Maurizio sarri’s side in last season’s round 16 of the Champions League.

Our View on Juventus Chances in Landing Aouar

Juventus fans won’t like this news, and they definitely won’t appreciate being considered as a secondary – or even third – option by Aouar.

Nonetheless, Real Madrid and Barcelona – despite their current woes – remain two highly tempting destinations, and few are the players who would be willing to resist them.

However, the Bianconeri have proven in the recent past that they are willing to upper their game to the next level in order to compete with the elite of the elite on the transfer market – with the Matthijs De Ligt operation being a primary example.

So the question remains whether the Italian champions are willing to enter such a difficult race while knowing that the player might have already set his heart on moving elsewhere.
