Juventus Accelerating Talks to Sign Two Major Premier League Stars

Juventus are keen to get the summer transfer window off to a flying start, with two Premier League stars reportedly set to join the Turin club. As per Sky Sport Italia via Gianluca Di Marzio, Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood and Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz could soon team up with the Bianconeri.
Negotiations between Juventus and Aston Villa over a complex swap deal are progressing well. The Italians have offered €18/20 million, plus the services of Samuel Iling-Junior and Weston McKennie, in return for Luiz’s move in the opposite direction. It looks like the Lions are ready to accept the proposal.
Luiz has long been on the club’s radar. With Milan also inquiring about the Brazilian midfielder, Juventus have decided to step up their pursuit of the 26-year-old. Their effort could soon pay off, as Luiz could fly to Italy to complete his switch before departing for Copa America 2024.
Meanwhile, Greenwood has informed his representatives of his ambition to wear the Juventus jersey next term. While there’s mutual consent for a transfer, Manchester United could throw a spanner in the works. The Red Devils have pinned a substantial €50m price tag on the 22-year-old’s head.
Juventus are eager to bring the youngster to Serie A. But they’re unwilling to go beyond €30m. On top of that, they’ll only open talks with United after sorting out Federico Chiesa and Matias Soule’s futures. Both players are reportedly close to leaving the Allianz Stadium.
If everything goes to plan, Chiesa should part with Juventus immediately after Euro 2024. As for Soule, he could leave sooner after failing to make Argentina’s Copa America squad.
