Juventus Accelerating Talks with Angel Di Maria

Angel Di Maria’s future is at a crossroads as Paris Saint-Germain refused to offer him a new deal, and Juventus are ready to pounce for the Argentine’s services. According to Calciomercato, the next few days will be crucial for the winger’s potential move to Turin, with talks between the parties already underway.

Juventus met Di Maria’s representatives on Saturday to discuss the potential switch and will soon hold another meeting to understand the margins for the deal. The record-time Italian champions are frantically looking for the reinforcements following an abysmal season, and the 34-year-old has emerged as one of the genuine targets.

Despite recent denials, Di Maria could end up joining Juventus in the coming weeks.

After experiencing a first trophyless season in over a decade, Massimiliano Allegri is keen to bolster his squad in the summer. With Paulo Dybala already waving goodbye to the Allianz Stadium, the Juventus gaffer is desperate to fill the void with another top-class player.

Though Di Maria would likely be a short-term replacement for Federico Bernardeschi, whose contract is up in the summer, the veteran could be a massive coup for Juventus.

The 34-year-old has been one of the world’s best wingers ever since his time at Real Madrid. Over the past seven years, Di Maria was one of the crucial factors in helping PSG establish a ruthless reign of supremacy in domestic football.

Our take on Di Maria’s potential move to Juventus

With his time in Paris up, the Argentina international could make a switch to Serie A down the final stretch of his illustrious playing career. Despite being in the autumn of his playing career, Di Maria could still make a world of difference for Juventus as they look to close the gap on Milan and Inter.
