Juventus Add Boca Juniors Sensation to Left-Back Shortlist

Juventus are in dire need of defensive reinforcements on the wing, with just three wingbacks in their roster. Danilo is the only right-back, Alex Sandro mans the left wing and left-back Mattia De Sciglio is out with a lengthy injury.

Boca Juniors left-back talent Valentin Barco is the name under consideration for the Juventus management, as per latest reports from Calciomercato. Barco has a Boca contract expiring at the end of the year, and the Bianconeri plot a free transfer if not for a summer acquisition.

The class of 2004 left-back was scouted by Boca Juniors when he was 8 years old and signed by the Argentine giants the following year. If Juventus do end up signing him, it is unlikely he will be involved by Max Allegri in the first team anytime soon, perhaps being pushed on the Primavera side for more playing experience to prepare him to function at the top level.

The left-back made his Argentina U20 debut in May 2022.
