After being extremely active during the winter transfer window, Juventus are already plotting methods to bolster their squad next season as they are eager to sign the Fiorentina star stopper Nikola Milenkovic.
According to Transfermarkt, the 24 year-old Serbian currently has a transfer value of €28M. With the promising defender’s contract set to expire in the summer of 2023, the Bianconeri are keen to submit a lucrative offer that can potentially lure the centre-back to the Allianz Stadium next season.
So far throughout this year’s campaign, Milenkovic has played a fundamental role within the back-line for Italiano’s side as the Serbian international made 26 appearances for La Viola across all competitions. The 24 year-old showcased his high-quality defensive skills in a consistent manner as he accumulated a total of 43 tackles and 35 interceptions so far throughout this year’s current season.
As it stands within Allegri’s squad, both Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini are towards the end of their careers as the experienced defenders are the ages of 34 and 37 respectively. With Matthijs De Ligt and Daniele Rugani being the only back-up centre-backs, the Old Lady are keen to acquire Milenkovic in order to increase their options in the last line of defence.
With Juventus set to play against Fiorentina in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia the club officials will monitor the 24 year-old very closely in order to make sure that he his the proper fit for the Bianconeri.
