Juventus announced to have reached an agreement with Nicolò Fagioli on an extension. The parties added two years to the previous deal, postponing the expiration date to 2028. The seven-month suspension for gambling hasn’t impacted the negotiation.
Per Calciomercato, the midfielder will enjoy a small pay hike, going from €1M to €1.5M per year. He switched his agency earlier this week. CAA Stellar represents him now. Gianluca Scamacca, Pierre Kalulu Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Eduardo Camavinga are among their clients as well.
Fagioli got his start at Piacenza and Cremonese but was acquired by Juventus for €210k when he was 14. After working his way up the ladder in the youth sector until reaching the U-23 squad, he spent a season on loan to the Grigiorossi in Serie B, blossoming fully.
Massimiliano Allegri confirmed him in the squad last summer. He quickly managed to become a regular. He has registered 3 goals and 6 assists in 45 appearances with the Bianconeri. The 22-year-old made his lone Italy appearance in November 2022.
Fagioli is allowed to practice and will technically be available for the final game of the season, when Juventus will face Monza on May 26th. He’ll have to follow alternative provisions for five months after the conclusion of his disqualification. A local investigation disclosed he bet on football matches for a couple of years. He quickly confessed and plea-bargained his punishment with the sports justice.
