Juventus Agree Personal Terms with Fiorentina Talisman

Juventus and Nicolas Gonzalez have agreed on personal terms as the Fiorentina star looks to force his move to the Allianz Stadium. According to Calciomercato, the Argentine winger has accepted Bianconeri’s contract proposal, leaving it up to the clubs to negotiate the transfer fee.

Gonzalez would receive a slight pay increase for swapping Tuscany for Juventus. He currently earns €3 million per season at Fiorentina. Bianconeri sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has offered the player €3.5m plus add-ons.

Keen to challenge for titles, Gonzalez didn’t have to think twice. Only the final details are missing. However, negotiations are progressing fast, and it’s only a matter of time before the parties seal the ‘final agreement.’

Now it’s up to Juventus to find common ground with La Viola. Fiorentina’s demands are crystal clear. They ask for €30m to sanction the departure of their standout performer.

Meanwhile, Juventus prefer a loan with an option to buy. The back-to-back Europa Conference League runners-up would only accept such a proposal if they received a hefty loan fee. But there’s another key to unlock the deal.

Weston McKennie has no future at Juventus. But new Fiorentina boss Raffaele Palladino appreciates the USMNT midfielder’s qualities and would love to take him to Florence. Aware of Palladino’s admiration for their misfit, Juve could use McKennie as a makeweight.

McKennie has turned down several approaches this summer. But he might fancy a move to Fiorentina. Such an arrangement would help Juventus kill two birds with one stone.
