Juventus and Inter Send Scouts to Follow Touted Nice Starlet

Juventus and Inter will both be in the market for a midfielder in the summer and have started to track Khephren Thuram. Emissaries of the two Serie A teams attended the recent match between Nice and Lille. Several top European sides are keeping tabs on the promising 21-year-old, TuttoSport informs.

The youngster has blossomed this season, tallying 3 goals and 2 assists in 29 appearances across all competitions, featuring either as a box-to-box or as a pivot in a two-man line. He is the son of the Bianconeri’s legendary defender Lilian Thuram. He was born in Reggio Emilia, which is near Parma, in 2001, right before his father moved to Turin.

Inter and Juventus have not initiated a negotiation to sign Thuram at this stage. They inserted him in their shortlists for the role as a potential alternative. He grew up in Monaco’s youth system and transferred to Nice in 2019. He debuted later that year and began being a regular in the 2020-2021 campaign. The starlet has 72 Ligue 1 games and 7 caps with France U-21 under his belt.

The Nerazzurri pursued his brother Marcus before acquiring Joaquin Correa. The Borussia Moenchengladbach striker could be a fallback plan for the next window as well. On top of Thuram, Juventus and Inter are both after Davide Frattesi. The Bianconeri will meet Sassuolo to inquire about the midfielder and Giacomo Raspadori later this week, Tuttomercatoweb informs. Both sides have also expressed interest in two Roma players, Bryan Cristante and Jordan Veretout respectively.
