Juventus and Manchester City Not on the Same Page on Ronaldo Deal

It has been a busy day at the Juventus headquarters, but not quite decisive yet. The management called up Jorge Mendes to discuss the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. The agent did not bring them an offer as Manchester City want him on a free transfer. The Bianconeri are adamant they will not let the striker go on those terms, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The meeting was tense, and Juventus asked the representative to properly handle the media side of the move. Mendes has already left town. He will now try to convince Manchester City to pay a €25/30M fee, Gazzetta dello Sport reports. Even though there could be few options on the table, it appears difficult to arrange a swap. The Bianconeri hope to solve the matter sooner rather than later. The entire management stayed in Turin to manage the delicate situation and did not go to Istanbul for the Champions League draft.

Ronaldo regularly trained today. He bowed out early due to a knock on the arm yesterday. Juventus will face Empoli Saturday. On top of the elephant in the room, Mendes also suggested a swap deal with Wolverhampton involving Aaron Ramsey and Ruben Neves. However, the price tags of the two midfielders are drastically different, the Italian newspaper adds.

Another well-known agent visited with the brass today, Mino Raiola. Moise Kean could return to Juventus as Everton greenlighted his departure. Coach Massimiliano Allegri would gladly welcome him back, Alfredo Pedullà reports. However, Juventus have a bigger fish to fry since their main star is pushing to leave.
