Paris Saint-Germain’s Hugo Ekitike has not lived up to expectations in his debut season in the French capital, registering just four goals and three assists in 27 appearances so far. However, the lack of game time comes across as inevitable, given the presence of the most marketable forward line in world football in the squad.
Ekitike joined PSG on a loan move with an obligation to buy at the end of the season, which means he will become a permanent member of the PSG squad in the summer. Yet, he might not stay put in Christopher Galtier’s side and could be loaned out for the 2023/24 campaign.
