Juventus and Milan Tipped to Sign Two Slavic Starlets

Juventus have overtaken Bologna in the duel to acquire Vasilije Adzic from Buducnost Podgorica, while Milan are likely to hold off Manchester City to put Matija Popovic under contract. The Bianconeri needed to raise their previous offer to be successful, Sky informs.

The prospect is expected to travel to Turin next week to put pen to paper. However, he’ll transfer at the end of the season since he’ll turn 18 on May 12th. The Old Lady will pay roughly €5M between the fee and bonuses. His current side will be entitled to a percentage of a future transfer. He has recorded 6 goals and 2 assists in 23 appearances this season.

While Juventus have sealed the deal for Adzic, Milan need to wait a few days to complete the paperwork for Popovic. He’ll come of age on January 8th. The Rossoneri are confident to have regained the lead after an attempt by Manchester City, Calciomercato informs.

They aim to shake hands shortly after his birthday. They have tendered a lucrative five-year contract and will technically sign him in a Bosman transfer from Partizan. He has hit the net 21 times in 25 matches in the Kadetska Liga this campaign.

Adzic’s agent Igor Glusevic spoke with Tuttomercatoweb.

“He can play as a no.10 or as a second striker now, but he’ll be able to turn into a top-notch box-to-box in the future. Many clubs are interested, but Juventus are Juventus, one of the most important sides in Europe.”
