Juventus and Roma Trail Arsenal for Shakhtar Attacker

Juventus and Roma are among the teams keeping tabs on Mychaylo Mudryk, but the winger is probably destined to move to different leagues since his price tag is skyrocketing. Arsenal, in particular, appear to be in the lead to capture him if and when Shakhtar Donetsk agree to sell, The Daily Mail relays.

As per TuttoSport, Chelsea and Liverpool are also eyeing the winger. The Bianconeri made an attempt in the summer and remain very high on him. They couldn’t strike a deal at the time and brought in Filip Kostic instead. He is still on their radar for the future since Angel Di Maria is unlikely to stay past his seasonal contract. They can’t target him in January because he’s extra-EU.

Both Juventus and Roma would have to deal with his team’s lofty requests if they went after Mudryk. According to Ukrainian outlet Football24tv, Shakhtar Donetsk could have done the deal for about €15M in the past window given the circumstances, but his valuation has more than doubled since then.

Director Dario Srna showered his starlet with praise.

“He’s third best youngster in his role behind Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappé.”

Our Take on Juventus and Roma Pursuing Mudryk

The Giallorossi have tightened the belt on the transfer market. Such an expensive acquisition would probably be possible only if they sold Nicolò Zaniolo first. The suitors aren’t exactly chomping at the bit right now considering his slow start, and an extension is more likely. The Old Lady is usually very determined when they zero in on somebody, which seems to be the case. But it remains to be seen whether he’ll still be there next summer. The English powerhouses could easily pounce in January.
