Juventus Ask Arsenal to Improve Initial Proposal for Arthur

Juventus rejected the first Arsenal offer for Arthur, but they set the conditions for his departure. The Gunners originally suggested a six-month loan. The player is pushing to move to London. His agent Federico Pastorello met with director Edu yesterday.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the representative relayed the demands of the Bianconeri. Juventus would accept an 18-month spell with an option to buy. The terms would be more favorable for the midfielder as well. He would not risk coming back to Turin in the summer already. Arthur has reportedly given his word to Mikel Arteta, as the coach promised him a larger role at Arsenal.

The 25-year-old has started to play more in recent fixtures, but the Old Lady does not consider him untouchable. Arsenal are mulling over the new requests. The chances of the transfer going through are increasing. However, the Turin outfit needs to find a replacement before giving their final green light.

In that regard, they have stepped up their efforts to acquire Denis Zakaria from Borussia Moenchengladbach. It is more challenging to come to terms with the Swiss international rather than with his current team. Bayern Munich have joined Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool in the race to sign him in a Bosman move.

Juventus could bring back Nicolò Rovella in January. On the other hand, they do not want to put too much pressure on him right away, and he would be eased into the rotation. Aaron Ramsey has shaken off COVID-19 and will join either Crystal Palace or Newcastle.
