Juventus Boss Max Allegri Throws Paulo Dybala Future into Doubt

Massimiliano Allegri threw Paulo Dybala’s future at Juventus into doubt in the post-Salernitana interview. The Argentina international played a vital role in his side’s comfortable 2-0 home win over the Serie A basement boys on Sunday afternoon.

Dybala got on the scoresheet only a few minutes into the match with a sublime finish from inside the box. After firing Juventus into an early lead, the 28-year-old came close to doubling their advantage, but he chipped the ball well over the bar in a one-on-one situation.

Star striker Dusan Vlahovic put the clear daylight between the sides midway through the first half with a towering header. Little did anyone at the Allianz Stadium know it would be the final score.

But Juventus cruised to another landslide home victory nonetheless, taking their unbeaten Serie A streak to 16 games. More importantly, Dybala has returned to the scoring board for the first time since mid-January.

However, Allegri cast doubt on the Argentine’s future in the aftermath.

The rapport with Paulo and all the players is good. There are some exchanges of opinion, I am always rather direct, but I am like this for the good of the players, who know they have my faith and admiration,” he said.

Paulo arrived as a kid from Palermo, he has become a great player. There’s no problem. I don’t know if he will be a Juventus player or not, that is a matter for the club.

Dybala’s contract at Juventus is due to expire at the end of the season. Despite the club’s utmost efforts to tie him down to a new deal, the player has yet to commit his future to the Allianz Stadium. His current situation in Turin has placed several top clubs on the red alert.

Inter are said to be in the driving seat to land Dybala on a free transfer, with some Premier League sides lurking in the shadows.
