Juventus Chief Nedved Highlights Ronaldo Importance Amid Misfiring Streak

Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from the Bianconeri’s ranks has left the club reeling in attack, as they currently suffer from lack of consistency up front. He left Turin to join back boyhood club Manchester United in a sensational summer transfer, where he has already racked in 13 goals since returning.

Juventus vice-chairman and executive Pavel Nedved has now admitted that Juventus have lost their most potent goalscorer in the Portuguese marksman, who scored 101 goals across three years at the Allianz Stadium.

Speaking to DAZN (via Calciomercato), Nedved shed light on Juventus’ problems on the attacking front

“In terms of implementation, we are behind. But we must add Chiesa, Bernardeschi, all the attacking players, who maybe as you rightly say they score between 10 and 15 goals. If they do, it means that you are in good shape. We lost a 30-goal player in Ronaldo, but if our players improve the sidelines we will have a better chance of getting closer to the top spots,” explained the former Czech Republic midfielder.

Ronaldo has already scored 13 goals since his return to Old Trafford. To put that into perspective, Federico Chiesa (3), Moise Kean (3) and Paulo Dybala (8) and Alvaro Morata (6) have 20 goals in total across all competitions this term.

The numbers don’t lie as Massimiliano Allegri’s outfit sit in 7th position with 28 points. They have scored just 23 goals in the league so far, two less than 14th placed Sampdoria.
