Juventus Coach Keen on Unlikely Trade Deal with Inter

Massimiliano Allegri has prompted Juventus to explore the possibility of a swap with Inter involving Juan Cuadrado and Edin Dzeko. The coach wants a reliable deputy for Dusan Vlahovic, and the Bosnian veteran would be ideal in his mind.

On the other hand, the Nerazzurri quickly rejected the proposition, Calciomercato informs. They do not need another wing player. They will soon sign Raoul Bellanova from Cagliari to back up Denzel Dumfries. It remains to be seen whether the Dutchman will stay in town, though. He has drawn the attention of Manchester United and Bayern Munich. The front office might elect to turn in a quick profit on him.

Cuadrado and Dzeko have the same agent, Alessandro Lucci, who is a big proponent of the trade. Their salaries are also similar, around €5M per year, which is an issue for Inter. They are indeed looking to free up a couple of offensive spots to onboard Paulo Dybala. However, they do not want to sign another veteran with cumbersome wages.

Our Take on the Potential Swap Between Cuadrado and Dzeko

There appears to be still some bad blood between the Bianconeri and the Colombian for the lack of an extension at a lower rate. He is entering the final year of his contract, and the writing might indeed be on the wall for him. It would not be shocking if he transferred despite his prominence. The Old Lady might be keen on partying ways with him also because they believe to have the inside track for Udinese’s Nahuel Molina, but they already have six fullbacks. The Bosnian striker would be a top-end option for the role. It is a situation to keep an eye on should Dumfries be sold, as it would address both teams’ needs.
