Juventus Coach Unconvinced of Monaco Prodigy Readiness

Long-linked Monaco starlet Benoit Badiashile has not been forgotten by Serie A giants Juventus, as the Bianconeri prepare for life after Giorgio Chiellini and amid tensions of a potential exit by Dutch starlet Matthijs De Ligt. The Old Lady has already earmarked Napoli center-back Kalidou Koulibaly as a prospective successor at the Allianz Stadium, but his strong links to the Partenopei make him an unlikely target.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, while Juventus like the profile of France U21 international Badiashile, coach Max Allegri is unsure of the transfer being worthwhile given the youngster’s inexperience. The Bianconeri management are willing to bet and invest in the 21-year-old.

However, they will have to convince their tactician first. That seems far-fetched as of the moment, as he believes he is presently ‘immature’ to fill the big boots left behind and would rather wait out on his developmental curve.

The highly-rated French prodigy has also been monitored by Milan in the past. Juventus have contacted the entourage of Badiashile in late April to inquire about his availability and price tag. His five-year contract at Monaco expires in 2024, which gives his side enough leverage to demand €25/30M to sell him. He has 119 appearances for Les Monegasques.
