Juventus Concoct Kean Swap as Depay Talks Continue

Juventus furthered the contacts for Memphis Depay, but they might have to wait to bring in the striker. The parties are closing in on an agreement from an economic standpoint. But the attacker asked for a few days to better evaluate the landscape.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Dutchman is not a total lock to leave Barcelona. He might stay if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang goes to Chelsea. Just one of the two will depart. Tottenham have also inquired about the versatile attacker, but they aren’t a threat at the moment.

Juventus remain confident about signing Depay on a free transfer. They are willing to give him some time, but they are preparing some fallbacks to be safe. They were offered Mauro Icardi and Giovanni Simeone, but they are lukewarm on them. Arkadiusz Milik and Anthony Martial have more fans within the management.

According to Sky, the Bianconeri proposed Moise Kean to Atalanta to get Luis Muriel in return. La Dea quickly turned it down. The sale of the Colombian striker has become more unlikely with Andrea Pinamonti joining Sassuolo.

Our Take on the Juventus Attack and Depay

Having sealed other deals, the Old Lady will finally focus on a role that always seemed more of a priority for the coach than for the management. The Barcelona outcast would be a nice addition given the terms of the deal and his versatility.

Still, it wouldn’t be surprising if they ended up overpaying for Muriel just to have somebody with a proven track record in Serie A. And probably the only way they can get rid of Kean is by shipping him off to PSG, possibly in a swap with Leandro Paredes.
