Juventus Concretely Working on Todibo Deal with Nice

Juventus have shifted their attention to Jean-Clair Todibo after missing out on Riccardo Calafiori and prefer him over Jakub Kiwior. He’s under contract until 2027 and is coming off a very solid season. He feels to have earned a move to a top team at this point, Calciomercato informs.

The two clubs are on good terms, as evidenced by the recent Khephren Thuram deal. Nice have set a high valuation and turned down €35M from West Ham earlier in the summer. It helped that the player wasn’t too high on the destination.

Juventus could be willing to come close to his price tag if the French side agreed to do the Todibo deal on loan with an option or an obligation to buy. Instead, there’d be no issue regarding the wages. He makes €1.27M annually. A pay rise would still be very manageable for the Bianconeri.

Per Fabrizio Romano, the center-back is keen on transferring to Turin. The Old Lady could foot such an acquisition by cashing in on Dean Huijsen.

Our Take on Juventus and Todibo

He’s expensive, but the operation would be a lot more likely if Nice were willing to play ball on the formula and perhaps even take a player in return. It looks like the profit is too enticing to pass on, and they need dough to land their top targets, but they wouldn’t be wrong to give Huijsen a chance. He could work well in Thiago Motta’s daring style.
