Juventus Considering Surprising Sale to Make Room for Pjanic

Juventus need to part ways with a midfielder to bring back Miralem Pjanic. While they would prefer to sell Aaron Ramsey, he has drawn limited interest. Therefore, they will listen to the offers for Weston McKennie, who could leave the club after just one season.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are looking to get at least €30M from his potential departure. He is one of the few players other sides inquired about during the summer. His entourage has been in touch with the management to find some possible destinations in the Premier League. Everton and Tottenham, led by former director Fabio Paratici, could be in the running, Corriere dello Sport informs. He has some suitors in Bundesliga too.

McKennie transferred from Schalke 04 to Juventus last September. The Bianconeri spent €4.5M for the initial loan and later activated their €20M option to sign him permanently. The 22-year-old got off to a brilliant start, scoring four goals in the first four months of the season. However, his playing time and level of performance dipped in the second part of the campaign due to a nagging hip injury.

Juventus recently added Manuel Locatelli in the role. Massimiliano Allegri also wants to acquire a pure deep-lying playmaker. He is eager to bring back Miralem Pjanic, whom Barcelona are willing to let go for cheap. The Bosnian international is biding time to see if he could indeed reunite with his former coach. Roma, Inter and Fiorentina are also after him, Mundo Deportivo and Sportitalia inform.
