Juventus Could Offset Midfield Spending for Fiorentina Marksman

The inclusion of Manuel Locatelli reportedly needs to be boosted by the addition of couple more names in the center of the field, although Weston Mckennie seems to be getting minutes under Massimiliano Allegri and Aaron Ramsey is supposed to move sooner or later.

On the back of their 2-1 defeat to Sassuolo, evidence of a faulty center midfield, along with a misfiring attack, was much too obvious for the Italian giants.

Instead of opting for their primary transfer target, AS Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni could be overlooked by the club management and Federico Cherubini in particular, for two other cheaper names – Axel Witsel and Corentin Tolisso – according to Calciomercato.

Having been the masters of free transfers, Juventus could add to their reputation by bringing in the duo for free, with both their respective contracts at Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich expiring soon. This could help the Bianconeri offset at least €40m in times of financial distress, while Tchaouameni himself has a price tag of €35m, according to transfermarkt.

The addition of a new number nine is also being pondered by the management, with neither Alvaro Morata, Paulo Dybala nor Federico Chiesa firing the necessary shots.

If the two aforementioned midfielders can be lured, the intention is to then invest the saved finances to bring in a pure striker and none other than Dusan Vlahovic is fit for a spearheading role.

Fiorentina have an asking price of no less than €70m for the Serbian marksman, who is yet to renew his contract in Florence that expires in June 2023.
