Juventus Director Reiterates Their Committment to Pogba

Juventus sporting director Francesco Calvo once again came to Paul Pogba’s defense as fresh rumors about a possible split resurfaced after his latest injury. The exec talked to Sky before the return leg against Freiburg.

“He’s the first one to be unhappy with the situation. Everything gets magnified when it comes to great players. I’ve read bombastic titles suggesting we would get rid of him, but that’s absolutely untrue. He first joined when he was 19, and he knows that we are like a family that gives but also asks for a lot.”

“He’s doing his best and we want to see him on the pitch as soon as possible. We strongly believe in him; otherwise, we wouldn’t have given him a four-year contract. We talk with him every day. He’s aware we’re sorry and displeased with what happened, and he’s on the same page.”

Juventus were informed that the CONI’s College of Guarantee would hear their appeal against the point deduction on April 19th.

“It’s important to have a date, so we will know what we will play for in the final matches of the season. It gives us some certainty.”

Calvo commented on Inter, Milan, and Napoli all advancing in Champions League.

“It’s a historic result for Italian football. We are lagging behind other countries like England, Spain, and Germany. Their achievements are the product of the ability of those who handle and coach the teams and their players. We hope this will provide motivation to improve on every aspect.”
