Juventus Earmark Monaco Starlet to Succeed Chiellini

It is important that Juventus think about life after Giorgio Chiellini as the veteran defender is likely to hang up his boots at the end of the season. And according to Corriere dello Sport (via TuttoJuve), the Bianconeri are already busy shortlisting a host of names, but there is one that stands out in the eyes of the management.

AS Monaco centre-back Benoit Badiashile is the player of interest for Juventus, who believe it is necessary to shore up the defense with young blood after a decade of Chiellini-Bonucci brace at the back.

The Monaco youth product had his breakthrough campaign in 2020/21 despite making his professional senior debut in 2018/19. With a contract expiring only in 2024, Monaco would expect a transfer fee in the range of €30-40M, but it is unknown if the Principality side is ready to lose one of their brightest stars to a big gun once again.

Keeping that in mind, Juventus are also eyeing young RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol, who is starting to show signs of maturity after his move from Dinamo Zagreb last season.

Finally, they have one eye on Inter target Gleison Bremer, who is heavily linked with a Nerazzurri transfer in the summer.
